Before & After: 1060 North Wilson Way

Above is S-Mart Foods taken about 10 years ago and its replacement, the Grocery Outlet was taken last year. This building was built and opened in 1973 originally as ALBERTSON'S MARKET, it was replaced by FOOD BANK in 1982 (owned by the SAVE MART SUPERMARKET of MODESTO chain, not to be confused with the locally owned SAVE-MART which as a store down the street at 1530 WATERLOO ROAD.) then they were renamed SMART FOODS in 1991 then S-MART FOODS in 1996.

6623 Pacific Avenue Before & After

The top picture was taken in 2001 while the bottom picture was taken this year. TOWER RECORDS was a beloved institution for many years before going bankrupt and going out of business in 2006.

However in Stockton, It was replaced by (a much better) RASPUTIN MUSIC & MOVIES, a Berkeley based Eclectic Music And Video Store. Now I don't have to travel all the way to the Bay Area!
